Renowned for locally sourced home-cooked food, it offers three ales and a cider on handpull. In 1852 William, son of Nathaniel, took over the Spotted Cow and it gradually became known as Wills o’Nats. Live music events are held on the first Saturday of each summer month, with camping possible behind the pub. There is a Sunday quiz night and a monthly 'doggo of the month' features on Facebook. Situated close to the Peak District and the Pennines, there are stunning views. A welcome stop for families, walkers and their dogs, and a previous Huddersfield CAMRA Rural Pub of the Year. It featured as a location in series two of Happy Valley. Table reservation is recommended and the last food orders are preferred around 7.30. It may close early when quiet.
