Inn at Ardgour, Ardgour

You want to visit - You have this in
REAL ALE not available

Restaurant & Hotel.

The Inn at Ardgour is separated from the A82 at Onich by Loch Linnhe at the Corran Narrows.

Although just 200 meters wide when the tide is out, the car and passenger ferry (operated by Highland Council) will get you across in minutes with sailings every 20 - 30 mins, then it is up the slipway and into the bar. Foot passengers (and pedal cycles) travel for free, but the charge for a car is a hefty £7.90 (April 2014). If you are just travelling to the pub for an outing, you can just park at the small car park by the slipway although space is limited.

The ferry service starts at 06:30 (08:30 Sunday) and runs until 21:30, and rarely has to stop because of bad weather or tides.

Although "across the water", Ardgour is still on the mainland and can be reached by road if you would prefer not to take the ferry, but the journey will take about an hour to travel the 45 miles.

The restaurant is open from 5 pm with last orders at 9.30pm in the season and last orders at 8pm in the winter but may open later if the hotel is busy. Teas, coffees, soup, a selection of light bites and cooked meals are available at lunchtimes in the season between 12 noon and 3pm, then soup between 3pm and 5pm. The menu is available in both the bar and restaurant during the season with a reduced menu in winter.

The Inn at Ardgour used to serve Real ale, and some years ago it was in the Good Beer Guide, and is listed on WhatPub so as to include all the licensed premises in the Highlands & Western Isles Branch Area, and we hope one day Real Ale will return.
