The former public house, The Torrs (originally The Crown and then renamed The Bees Knees, before returning to The Crown and then named The Torrs) since Autumn 2020 contains Archie's Café and Bar in addition to Millers Refillers, a zero waste shop. On the first floor of the building are three holiday apartments. Archie's Café and Bar has two hand pumps often serving beers from Torrside serving, also a selection of bottled beers including bottle-conditioned ales from Torrside. Locally-sourced food and coffees are available Live music is hosted regularly often featuring local artists from New Mills and beyond. Alcohol served from 11am. Food available all day until 8pm.

Planning applications: In 2013, planning permission was granted for change of use of the ground floor to mini-market and 'flexible space for small retail units'. A further application was submitted in 2014 to change the use from pub to both 'drinking establishment' and shop - applicants were told this was permitted development anyway.
