This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Fisherman's Arms was a no-frills Truman house which faced stiff competition from nearby town centre and riverside pubs. The pub dated from 1791 but had been rebuilt in 1844 after the original building had been destroyed by fire. Regrettably it closed in 1992 and became an Indian restaurant.
