Large, popular village pub built in 1830 on the eastern fringe of town which underwent a major refurbishment a few years ago in a contemporary style. The central bar has some comfy sofas, adjacent to which is a lounge area. Their restaurant doesn't do food Sunday evenings. There is a large garden and patio areas, and they host regular live music, quiz (Sunday nights) and meet the brewer evenings. Normally 4 real ales available. The pub has decided to concentrate on it's most popular cask ales and no longer stocks a variety of other beers from around the country.
