With splendid coastal views, this roadside free house has an excellent reputation for food, served lunchtimes and evenings, the carvery being a particular attraction. The carvery is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 9pm; Sunday 12pm to 9pm. The bar area has a wood-burning stove. There are two regular ales and one variable guest. The outside area is popular at all seasons, with its separate smokers' canopy. A mini beer festival is held towards the end of January, usually featuring about 14 ales, and regular entertainment is hosted. There is a car park, and buses pass the door.
