This coastal ramble takes you from seafront Wetherspoons to tucked-away locals and microbars with railway flair. Starting by the beach and circling through the historic heart of town, you’ll enjoy harbour views, Grade II-listed pubs, and hidden gems serving everything from Otter to Upside craft.

It’s a leisurely stroll through Paignton’s pub scene that pairs perfectly with a sunny afternoon—or a rail trip with plenty of stops. Trains and buses make it effortlessly accessible, but the beer and charm might just tempt you to linger.

A late Victorian property, once two guesthouses, now a Wetherspoons, opened in 2010. Essentially one large room on two levels with a tabled pavement area at the front and a small decking area overlooking a park at the rear.

Historically the London Inn, the building is late 18th century and Grade ll listed with a ground floor interior altered to create a single bar pub. A back street community focussed pub.

Turn right out of the pub and right before the church. Walk round the edge of the graveyard and take the first right. Go straight on and the club will be on the right when you get to the park.
