This Pub is Closed Long Term

Small old-fashioned one-bar pub just off Commercial Road. Snacks lunchtime only. Dart s and pool. Outside drinking area. ex Punch. Reported closed Feb 2017.

May 2021- Permission for conversion of the 'retained' GF public house areas to residential flat refused by Tower Hamlets in 2020. Appeal dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate Appeal Ref: APP/E5900/W/20/3260969 19 - 5 - 2021 on pub protection grounds; ineffective marketing for use as a PH or for alternative community uses. Decision notice notes that previous scheme for extension and use of upper floors as flats not correctly implemented and has encroached on the PH area. Moreover, all the pub fittings & fixtures have been removed. Another Trojan Horse scheme.

PA/24/00314/NC - planning permission refused to turn into office space.
