This is an upmarket pub geared largely to food yet with a strong community ethos which split from Red Mist on 1 June 2022 as part of the newly formed New Dawn Pubs Company and subsequently on 19 January 2024 became part of the Brakspear chain. The one rotating guest is drawn mainly from Brakspear brands with an occasional switch into Ringwood. The imaginative menu provides robust fare cooked to order, although not cheap. A brunch menu is served 9-11.30 am on Saturdays and Sundays.
