Attractive, bustling 19th century inn by the village green, 12th century castle and gardens. To the right of the front door is the bar area and a smaller room at the rear leading to the beer garden. There is another comfortable seating area for meals, with a separate restaurant and function room completing the layout. The menu is comprehensive, featuring local produce, daily specials and children's options. The real ale is served from the founts with horizontally moving levers. A TV in the bar area is not intrusive.
NOTE: Kitchen hours may be reduced in the winter, when there may only be one real ale.
