Original description.
This modern single room bar/restaurant is built on the site of an old coaching inn, circa 1777 that was destroyed by a vehicle impact and fire several years ago. Although food oriented, with meals served all day, customers simply wanting a drink are welcome with comfortable stools available at the bar-counter. The real ale is usually sourced in pins from local breweries, the management being keen to develop sales. Picture windows present beautiful open views over Auchencorth Moss to the distant Pentland Hills. There is also a separate children's soft play area, with parental supervision only, but which can be booked in advance for exclusive use.
