DEC 2024 - Still closed and awaiting demolition.

APR 2024 - Now closed.

MAR 2024 - Will close down from 8th April. Building sold by Heineken to developers.

DEC 2023 - Permission granted.

SEP 2023 - Developers have appealed via application 23/00183/REF.

JUN 2023 - Revised plans rejected by councillors despite recommendation to accept.

APR 2023 - Revised plans released still under app 23/00008/FUL.

JAN 2023 - Planning app 23/00008/FUL for Student accommodation development including ground floor retail /commercial space (use Classes 1, 2, 3 or 4). This would involve the demolition of the pub.

WAS: This is a large square room with a slight split level, and the bar to the rear. It has plenty of natural light. and a good atmosphere. There is a mix of seating, from high and low tables, to bar stools.  The  décor is modern with painted corrugated iron sheeting prominent. There is a slight emphasis on food, with a full menu on offer.  The bar is popular, with a good mix of people. There is no television, the preference being conversation.
