Hotel with bar normally open to the public.

Designed by John Adams, this elegant hotel was built in the 1750s for the Earl of Hopetoun. The spacious bar and eating area is relaxing and the food available is some of the best in Moffat.

Bus services connect Moffat with Dumfries, Lockerbie, Glasgow and Edinburgh. There is a connection to West Coast Main Line train services at Lockerbie.

It is currently for sale after only a short time since a major, high quality, renovation.

Asking price is around £1.5 million, which will be less than the original cost, plus renovation work.
