The Hare & Hounds closed in 2015 and has since been converted to residential accommodation.

It was formerly described thus:

"Consistently the best Wadworth's cellar in town, the pub has one long bar, comfortable seating, bar stools, friendly locals and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Wadworth's seasonals include Horizon and Swordfish. The pub is carpeted throughout, with pristine toilets and a good line in local banter. Dogs and children are allowed, as long as their owners and parents behave. Well worth the five-minute stroll from the town centre."
