This is a real traditional boozer, unchanged in many years, and catering mainly for an older generation of men and women, who still like to have a good time and a bit of banter. There are two rooms, separated by an island bar, with lots of dark wood and framed press cuttings and photographs reflecting past glories. There is a strong music theme with the walls featuring paintings of famous names from the music industry. And where else in Derby can you get karaoke from 2pm on Friday, Sunday and Monday afternoons and into the evening? Saturday evenings are devoted to live music. There is limited seating outside the front of the pub in warmer weather.
