A true local's pub just off the high Street, owned by Gray's it is frequently busy with a good range of beers and ciders. The basic no frills warm interior is warmed in winter by a log burning stove. The pool table is a popular feature. The small sheltered garden at the rear of the pub provides a delightful outside space with a smoking area. A beer festival is held on the August bank holiday weekend, and there are regular music and quiz nights. The station is a 15 min walk away.
