Mr Small's Cornish Taphouse, St Austell

Micropub in shopping centre.

This new micropub opened in July 2017 at Tregrehan outside the town, but moved in 2018 to a corner of the Aylmer Square shopping precinct in the centre of St Austell. It prides itself on selling mostly Cornish products which include real ale from the county's micro-breweries, as well as gins, ciders etc. There's also a bottle shop at the back of the pub worth browsing for takeaways. Food and snacks in the form of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, pasties and more are available all day. The pub might open late evening over the weekend when an event is held in the town centre - but check ahead before travelling. Summer opening times extend from Easter through to the end of September (you can also check with their Facebook page).
