This Pub is Closed Long Term
An unlikely real ale outlet in something of a beer desert, this town bar was once a stationery shop and an early example of a building with a curved glass frontage. The ales are dispensed over the bar counter in the large open-plan ground floor room, which has an original parquet floor and is described by its owners as being decorated in 'industrial shabby chic style'; the first floor (in 'steam punk style') is devoted to dining. Food is largely of the steak or burger variety. The place is warmed by wood-burning stoves.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
