The hotel was converted from a seventeenth century watermill and has been much extended since, now offering 50 en-suite bedrooms plus swimming pool and fitness club. The bar is open all day to non-residents (and 24 hours to residents) but real ale is not available. Mainly business clients and conferences during the week then weekend break guests. A patio area adjoins the bar, with a spacious garden area beyond.

In Spring and summer they also have the Outside Inn, "the largest outside bar in Cambridgeshire" which offers keg beers and cider including Camden Pale. Wednesday-Sunday and bank holidays 11-11, food until 8:30.
