This Pub is Permanently Closed

One of a pair of pubs that sat side by side on Hills Road close to its junction with Station Road. The Osborne was the less popular of the the two. The area, including both pubs was bought by developers. Outline planning application suggested that the adjoining pub, the Flying Pig, would be retained. It subsequently turned out that it wasn't that clear cut. Closure and demolition of the Osborne happened in late Summer 2012 leading to wholesale opposition to the Flying Pig suffering the same fate.
