A discreet corner local, just off Mill Road, with roadside cycle parking. It consists of a single bar with a small snug to the rear. Furnished with simple tables and chairs plus a few barstools at one end of the wooden bar. Wood burner in the fireplace. Wood panelling and breweriana add to a yesteryear atmosphere. It is a pub for contemplation, conversation and beer and cider consumption. Oakham Citra is its regular beer. A Nethergate beer usually also features on their six handpumps and there's always a dark beer. Its 10 taps feature interesting ones as well some more well known ones. Its six still ciders include some real ciders. Winston, the pub cat, may appear at quieter times.
