A traditional village pub with attractive informal gardens. It has long had a reputation for the quality of its beer. This has been maintained under recent changes of licensee, the most recent of whom took over in September 2022. They offer guest ale from the Greene King and SIBA lists as well as the brewery's beer. The Abbot is served direct from the cask. The cosy little public bar, with its tiled floor, enormous fireplace and upholstered benches, is a delight. The lounge has less character but is pleasant enough with a bar billiards table and music. There is a large beer garden with a mature walnut tree.
