Dalesway Hotel, Ilkley

This hotel and bar was reported as closed in Dec 2021 and has remained closed since. When visited in May 2023, an "Under Offer" sign was being displayed. When visited in November 2025, this sign was still being displayed and there was no change in the status of the premises. On 23 Mar 2026, a planning application (ref. 26/00281/MAF) was validated by City of Bradford MDC requesting a conversion of the premises into ten residential apartments. It was recently reported that the premises had been sold by the pub company to LDP Property Management Ltd. On 30 Aug 2026, the "Under Offer" boards had been removed from the building and the planning application was still 'Pending Consideration'. On 31 Aug 2026, it was noted that Everard Cole (who had been handling the sale of the property) was now marketing the ground floor as a 'Cafe / Restaurant / Retail' opportunity on a 'Free of Tie' lease.

This hotel bar & restaurant has a prominent position in the middle of Ilkley and a short distance from the River Wharfe. The interior is open-plan but on a split level. Pub-style food is offered and a carvery is served on Sundays. Rooms are available on a bed & breakfast basis and all are en-suite with tea/coffee making, iron/ironing boards, satellite flat screen TVs. There is a drying room for waterproof clothes, walking boots. The pub can be busy late at night.
