Formerly the Fleece, this establishment underwent an extensive refurbishment and re-opened as the Potting Shed in March 2015. It comprises a large, open-plan ground floor room with a bar and kitchen to one side. A number of historic features in the building have been restored and upcycled materials have been used elsewhere. The four hand-pulls dispense beers usually sourced from local or regional breweries. These may be doubled up, meaning there may be only two different beers available. Thirteen keg taps offer an additional range of beers and ciders from large-scale commercial producers. The food is prepared to order from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and includes wood-fired pizzas. A patio area with seating is located to the rear and additional seating is provided within sheds in the pub garden. The upstairs games room contains pool tables and a darts board and there is a terrace area to the rear. Meal deals Monday to Friday. The pub can get very busy at weekends especially on a Friday and Saturday evening when there is live acoustic music and a DJ. The upstairs room is available for private hire.
