Formerly The Fleece, now named after a past licensee who ran the pub in 1850-1878. A large and famous landmark on the edge of Ilkley Moor, approximately one mile from Eldwick village and the nearest bus-stop, it has an impressive view over Bingley Moor and beyond. It is located on the DalesWay link footpath over Rombalds Moor to Ilkley. The pub is semi-open plan but retains a multi-room feel and focusses on dining. A vegan menu is offered six days of the week. Five handpumps serve a variety of real ales. A large outside seating area is very popular in fine weather. There is a special room for families as well as a children's play area. Dogs are welcome in the bar area.
