Historic Interest

In 1982 this was a Whitbread Keg pub. By 1988 it had been refurbished and renamed Scarlets and was selling Chesters Bitter, and for a short period Hartleys XB, later it closed. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide. In May 1999 attempts were made to relicence the pub which was to be called Club RAC which was delicensed on 30/03/2010. Another application to relicence the pub was successfully made in 2015, but nothing came of it.
