Historic Interest

In May 1981 it was a Whitbread Keg Pub, but by July was listed as selling the newly introduced Duttons Bitter, by 1983 this had gone however by 1985 the pub was selling Trophy Bitter (H). By 1988 the Trophy Bitter had been replaced by Chesters Bitter (H). This in turn was replaced with Boddingtons Bitter by 1991. A photo and pub details appeared in Bolton Pub Scene 2 in 1995. The report that the pub had closed got the name of the pub wrong as the Black Bull, oops!
