Historic Interest
Delicensed on 02/08/10, landlady Julie Mullaney owner Clive Nightingale. In May 1981 it was known as the Derby Hotel and was a Tetley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E) which was confirmed on the Tetley List of August 1983. By June 1985 handpumps had replaced the electric pumps. In March 1986 it was to be refurbished in the Peter Walker Style. However by July 1987 it was still a shabby Tetley pub which had gone keg. In February 1988 it was reported that it was going to be the pub to be Walkerised and a couple of months later it had been and it was now known as the Sharman Arms, being named after the nearby closed brewery which had once owned the pub back in the 1920's. A social was held here on June 19th 1988, it was visited on a Halliwell Road Pub Crawl on November 26th 1993.
