The Peacock was nominated by the Vale of Belvoir Branch of CAMRA for ACV registration, however on the 10th May 2016 Melton Borough Council rejected the nomination on the grounds that the local branch of CAMRA was not an eligible nominating body: "Following a review by the Head of Communities and Neighbourhoods it was concluded that this was an invalid nomination under Regulation 6, d of the Asset of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012."
The Peacock is a Grade II listed building (No. 1294657): "Dated 1702. Coursed ironstone with roof of black glazed pantiles.
