JD Wetherspoon pub in former M&Co shop in Market Square.
Local artworks on display include a painting of rowers, swan-themed ceramic wall tiles and a mirror display inspired by Mary Shelley, who wrote Frankenstein while living in Marlow in 1817.
Conversion
A conversion of a clothing store, and before that an ironmonger's, by Wetherspoon, inspired by the grand assembly halls of the Victorian era. With a modern-industrial twist, the interior has been broken up into discrete areas with Victorian-styled screening, featuring bespoke, embellished tiling, marquetry flooring around the counter and huge chandeliers. The lighting, colours and carpets reflect Marlow’s links to the Thames and its rowing heritage, such as a painting of rowers and swan-themed ceramic wall tiles. A mirror display pays tribute to Mary Shelley who wrote Frankenstein while living in Marlow in 1817.
