A very traditional but now increasingly rare brickwork frontage hides a lively and welcoming locals' pub, which reopened in August 2024 after being closed for a just over a year, under the auspices of Sam Gregory. The pub has been sensitively refurbished and is now a spacious single bar with comfortable seating. The pull-down TV screen is used to show major sporting events, such as six nations rugby, Premier League football and international football tournaments, with live music, weekly quizzes and a dart board on offer. Draught Bass is still served (make sure you pick up a card to join the pub's Bass Club) as well as up to three changing cask ales, usually from local breweries, such as Cheddar Ales. Plans are in place to serve food in a dining room behind the bar once refurbishment is complete
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Crown Tavern, Bristol
