This former J W Lees pub (sold in 2000), reputedly the highest in Wales (1500 ft.) is situated in an isolated position near to Llyn Brenig and said to have been licensed since 1829. Rented from a local farmer a new licensee took over on 3rd March 2017. It is a welcoming family pub with a small range of good hearty homely cooked food available. Look out for an interesting CAMRA mirror alongside the bar in the rear games area commemorating sixteen consecutive years in the GBG (1977 - 1991).

Closed since October 2021 with future uncertain and change of use from pub to residential dwelling granted 22nd. March 2023, application - 0/50406.
