This is an old coaching inn with some original features going back 300 years, including parts built with Sussex flint. It is conveniently located in the delightful village of Lyminster, close to the historic town of Arundel and the seaside resort of Littlehampton. Also convenient for Fontwell and Goodwood race courses.
Having been closed for a few years, the Six Bells reopened in April 2025 with new licensees, who both have extensive hospitality experience and are keen to make The Six Bells a community go-to.
It has had a significant investment and full refurbishment.
The pub features a welcoming bar and dining area, with a focus on serving quality pub food made from fresh, locally sourced produce. The makeover has seen addition of open fires, leather banquette seating, freestanding leather armchairs, kilim rugs and retro machinist-style bar stools. There is also a snug, a private dining room for up to 12 seated or 30 standing guests, and a separate function room with its own bar and patio access.
The pub's garden and courtyard have also been overhauled, with seating for 50 added.
A brand-new commercial kitchen allows the pub to offer an extensive menu, featuring light bites and hearty pub classics, all made with seasonal fresh produce.
