This Pub is Closed Long Term
Formerly a coaching inn and dating back to 1281, it was originally purchased by a member of Sir Francis Drake's family. The large traditional drinking area leads to a separate restaurant, with a skittle alley/function room upstairs. It also has a garden with wonderful views.
Community Supported
Purchase was pursued by Yarcombe Inn Community Benefit Society with an offer for property submitted Nov 2017, but in June 2019 the pub was purchased by an individual couple. In 2020 the pub changed hands again. Whilst this pub is neither community owned nor community run, through the efforts of the Yarcombe Inn Community Benefit Society the pub was saved from permanent closure, and the community continues to provide support to prevent it's permanent closure.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
