The pub reopened in June 2025 with a £650,000 refurbishment following over 3 years of closure.
A traditional pub, with timbered gables, bay windows, and ivy-covered walls was once the northern gateway to the estate of Lord Winterton. Comfortably furnished, with a mix of informal seating and vertical drinking areas, together with a dining room. There is roaring fire in the Winter months, giving the a cosy feel. In the Summer the tree-filled garden is well used; featuring a covered section with a four-sided wood burner and an open area ideal for warmer weather. There is a dedicated children’s play area as well as an adults-only zone, where boules can be played.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Changing beers typically include: Adnams - Ghost Ship , Hogs Back - TEA , Morland - Old Speckled Hen
