Traditional Broadland pub dating from 1798, which was renovated in 2012, and is owned by the community, with local residents and others owning shares.
A community shop has recently been added in a converted stables. Four beers are served, mostly from local breweries along side real ciders and craft beers. Genuine pub food features strongly and, as well as the famous fish n' chip Fridays (including take away), there are the noted Sunday roasts.
The pub is a five-minute walk from Upton Dyke Staithe and moorings, and hosts live music every first and third Saturday and on Bank Holidays, and an array of other events. An annual Beer, Cider & Perry festival takes place on the first full weekend in July.
