This Pub is Closed Long Term
Large grade II listed building dating back 400 years with exposed beams and open fireplace. Lovely interior decor and some historical pictures on the walls. A large field at rear has a marquee available for hire or for village events. Occasional live music & open mic nights in the garden during summer months. Extensive menu of homemade food, plus Sunday roast, check the website for restaurant sample menus. This pub was sold by Greene King to Hawthorn Leisure in summer 2014. This pub closed unexpectedly in April 2015, reason unknown. It was later sold in Early May 2016 to a private individual and is now a permanent closure following a "change of use" planning application.

Grade II Listed and licensed from at least 1822, but probably much earlier as the building is 400 years old.
