Historic Interest
A late Victorian / Edwardian public house. In 1982, the pub was due to be re-named Boots the Pub, but legal action by the local pharmaceutical firm Boots the Chemist led to the name Owd Boots. The White Hart returned to its original name in 2003.
In 1916, the landlord of the White Hart was Harry Tyler (Wright).
Former landlord was Gus Platts, a British Middleweight boxing champion in 1921.
