Friendly, open-plan community local with live music most weekends. Having been a pub since 1801, formerly in the hands of historic brewers Allsops and then Ansells, it became the Flock and Firkin in the 90's before restoration in 2007.
Four real ales are served including two changing ones from local brewers.
Live music is very much a feature of the pub, with a blues night every other Wed, open mic on Thursdays, bands every Friday and Saturday, and a DJ every Sunday evening. Various entertainment on Sun afternoon. Monthly quiz on Wed evenings. Real ciders and craft bottles and cans available.
