Previously known as the Norfolk House Hotel: it was here that Charles Darwin stayed for a few weeks during 1858, while writing The Origin of Species, and where he praised the hotel and the seaside town of Shanklin. Bring your family here to enjoy a sunny beach-side meal with a beer in summer. Closes at 10pm winter Sunday and Monday
