Pub with restaurant.
Note: No meals available for the time being.
Originally an oak beamed, former Kentish Yeoman's house built in 1492 but with later red brick walls and an extension to the right that is now the restaurant. There is an inglenook fireplace in the smaller upper area. Step down to the lower bar, where you may sit in an extension that is outside the original ground floor end wall, which has been removed. Rejuvenated by the new business owner who also has the Chequers in Aylesford. Up to five cask ales are available. Noted for good food made from fresh local produce wherever possible. Separate children's menu. Toilets are at each end of the pub. At the rear of the car park is a large enclosed patio with tables, chairs and flower beds.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
