Located on the main road at the top of Sandy Lane village, this pub and hotel overlooks the village cricket field. The ground floor was formerly multi-roomed but is now semi-open plan and comfortably furnished with a wood-burning stove in the lounge area and historic photos of the area on the walls. The main room is to the right with a games area to the left. Two hand-pulls offer cask ales from the Ossett and Timothy Taylor breweries. When visited in Sep 2025, the kitchen was due a refurbishment followed by the function room and bedrooms accommodation. It is hoped to provide these facilities again soon.
