The Venture is situated near the cricket ground and bowling green in Highfield. There used to be a lodge belonging to the 'Venture Coal Mine' on this site and the pub was built in a similar style.

It is a Sizzling pub with food served every day from 11am till 9pm. Children's menu available,

There is a decked patio area with heaters and outdoor seating although smokers tend to stand just outside the main entrance.
