This Pub is Permanently Closed
Tiny pub just off Trafalgar Square, rebuilt in 1869, with narrow ground floor bar, upstairs seating area and second floor conference room available for hire. Half paneled, with red walls above sporting literary words of wisdom, soft lighting and no television, it takes its name from being a pick up point for the men who carried sedan chairs in the 17th century and said to have been established in 1683. Silly recent renaming (Nancy’s; Schrodingers) were fortunately ephemeral.
