This Wetherspoon pub originally opened in 2004 as a Lloyds No.1 bar and takes its name from the area now known as Centenary Square. There is a large open-plan room with a bar to one side on the ground floor and another seating area with a smaller bar on an upper floor. Ten hand-pulls are present on the ground floor bar. The usual core range of beers is supplemented by an ever-changing range of guest real ales, often from local and regional breweries. A further three hand-pulls, usually serving the regular beers, are present on the upstairs bar which opens at busy periods. A large outside seating area to the front is very popular in good weather and gives great views of the impressive City Hall and City Park. Watch the fountains in City Park - they're inter-active!
This Pub serves 8 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
