No real ale but a good range of ten changing keg beers, including several from Tottenham breweries. A Belgium-brewed house lager plus guests, Brewheadz Kitchen Porter, Kirkstall Virtuous Session, Mikkeller Pale, One Mile End Salvation, Paulaner, Redemption Rock the Kazbek, Seven Sisters Citrus Session, Tiny Rebel Cwtch and Rhubarb & Custard.
Reopened under its new name in August 2018, the new operators having received a grant from the Opportunity Investment Fund. They have said that, " we’re proud to turn a derelict building into something of use for the community. The décor has a quite natural, industrial feel and we’ve used features of the building that were already there such as: cleaning up the original pillars, reconditioning the Victorian wooden floors and exposing the brick walls and cleaning them up."
“On one hand we are going to be a specialist in craft beer. Tottenham has some of the biggest, best known craft breweries in London and 50% of our taps will be Tottenham beers. And on the other hand we’re going to be making quality pizzas which is a craft in itself. So True Craft is a kind of play on, ‘true to the craft’”.
Both beer and pizzas can be taken away.
This is heartening news as previously -
According to the planning application at Haringey HGY/2015/2378 the pub has ceased trading. Consent was granted for the upper floors to be converted to s/c non-ancillary flats. No Moran Condition to protect the pub use from permitted development change of use was made by Haringey despite CAMRA's best efforts in their objection. Hamna Wakaf also own the Grosvenor SW9 where they are pursuing flats above 'with retention of the PH' but have, since the pln applic was made, leased the g/f to the Coop. The flats application there has still not been determined
