Historic Interest

The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Greenall Whitley Bitter and both light and dark Mild (E), with darts. A good example of bad modernisation. In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley pub serving cask mild and bitter (E). In late 1987 there were rumours about the pub being sold to either Tetley or Burtonwood.
