Historic Interest
It appears there were two unnamed pubs in Barnston in 1754. One was at Townsend Farm (now Bank Farm) on the corner of Storeton Lane and Barnston Road and was run by John Harrison. The photo shows the building on that site in 2020 but it is not known whether this was the building from 1754 which may have been demolished. The other pub was on the other side of Barnston Road run by Richard Shaw and appears to have been demolished.
