This Pub is Permanently Closed

The Towneley Arms dates back to the mid-1800s and was linked with the Towneley family of Cuerden & Astley Hall. It was once a Duttons Brewery house but is no longer open and following closure in the 1980s was converted to flats, now renamed Townlea House.
