Country-style pub located within a grade II listed B&B complex in rural Kent.
Closed: August 2021. Planning Application: 22/01122 - Change of use and conversion to living accommodation. Granted: April 2023.
Opened in Spring 2018, The Tipsy Gardener is based within The Oast Bed & Breakfast complex in Shepherdswell, Dover, Kent.
The rustic bar is housed in a grade II listed building with beautiful oak features. There's plenty of comfy seating, a log burner for the colder months and a good selection of traditional pub games.
The modern bar setup caters for drinkers with an emphasis on real ale and fresh craft beer with regular beers from Kent Brewery, Breakwater, Time & Tide and Boutillliers, as well as local cider, wines and speciality gins & rums.
Working with local brewers and suppliers, an ever-changing beer menu will offer two real ales on hand pump alongside eight KeyKeg craft beers in seasonal styles. Three Kent ciders also feature, from Wise Owl Cider.
Cold platters of cured meat and cheese are available during summer and jacket potatoes and bacon rolls with the occasional special soup or stew in the winter months.
